Overturning a ’10-game deficit’…Seattle passes Texas to take first place in AL West

The Seattle Mariners are having a miraculous season.

The Mariners took sole possession of first place in the American League (AL) West with a 3-2 victory over the Kansas City Royals at T-Mobile Park in Seattle, Washington, on April 28.

The three-game sweep of Kansas City was Seattle’s 11th win in its last 12 games, and the Mariners are 36-14 since July, their best record in Major League Baseball (MLB).

At 74-56, Seattle was tied with the Texas Rangers for the best record in baseball before today’s game. Texas lost the lead with a 7-6 loss to the Minnesota Twins. It’s a remarkable turnaround for Seattle, which was under a five-game winning percentage last month, to overturn a 10-game deficit in about a month.

The Mariners, who hadn’t been in first place since August 2003 after leading the league with Ichiro Suzuki, now own first place for the first time in more than 20 years.

Luis Castillo (11-7) pitched a one-hit shutout, while Hollyoaks Rodriguez and Teoscar Hernandez each drove in runs in the victory.카지노

“We played our best baseball since July, without a doubt,” said Seattle head coach Scott Servias. It’s a testament to the hard work of our players,” said Seattle head coach Scott Servias, “but we still have a lot of games left. Now it’s time for them to focus on getting better,” he said, noting that his players cannot let their guard down.

Castillo expressed his affection for the team, saying, “You can feel the positivity and good vibes around here,” and that the team “just makes you want to go out and win.”

Meanwhile, the AL West is in a state of chaos. While first-place Seattle has been on an incredible run of late, Texas is in the midst of one of its worst slumps. Even third-place Houston is only one game back of first-place Seattle.
